A Bow is Never Just a Bow!
Perky Bows a top a jaunty hat, precise bows adorning elegant packages, multi-loop soft fabric bows gracing an historical ensemble, and bows that are never lopsided. What do they all have in common? Common join us in a hands-on Zoom bow class where the secrets of creating a variety of bows will be revealed. This is for those who can tie a beautiful bow and for those whose two sides are uneven, or loops are smashed. You will learn how a needle and thread can change everything and the magic of tie wire.
Materials List - Tools:
- Scissors (All purpose, or one pair for ribbon/fabric and another pair for wire-edged ribbon)
- Milliners’ needles
- Heavy thread (buttonhole or quilting in a neutral color such as khaki or grey)
- Regular thread, one light neutral and one dark
- 3” aluminum hair clips (not barrettes. Often called duck clips)
- Tape measure or small ruler or both
- Chalk marker or chalk pencil or fabric marking pen
- Notebook and pen or pencil
- Several small pieces of cardboard like you get in a package of bias tape
Materials List - Supplies:
- 1 yard of 1” wide wire edge ribbon
- 7 ¼ yards 1 ¼” to 1 ½” wide ribbon (can be three colors 4, 1 ½, and 1 ¾ yards each)
- 2 ¼ yards of 2” wide ribbon
- 7 yards of 3” wide ribbon
